Joey Weidner is a musician, songwriter, recording engineer and educator from West Cork, Ireland.
As a session musician and songwriter, He has worked on albums and singles at home and abroad. He was signed artist to a record label in Germany, his music has received national and international airplay, and he has performed at some of Ireland's finest music festivals including Trinity Ball, Electric Picnic and Other Voices.
As a recording engineer, He has worked in studios in Ireland and in Boston, Massachusetts (recent credits include Kodaline, The Dropkick Murphys, and John Carney). The Covid-19 crisis brought his promising career in the US to a halt. Luckily, he has spent the past few years accumulating a large and engaged online following. He found his niche by combining blues guitar virtuosity with the cinematic landscape of his home in West Cork. Using his additional skills as a video editor and audio engineer, he is able to create captivating content that demands the viewer’s attention. His weekly content is regularly shared on some of Instagram’s largest music pages.
By prioritising genuine and consistent engagement with his audience, Joey has cultivated a community of like-minded musicians from all over the world, many of whom have become his private students. In recent times, he has collaborated with brands such as Happy Socks, Laney, Giungi Guitars, and Pickup Music. He is currently creating monthly educational content for Pickup Music.
